We went to Denver with Eric's family last week for a few days. We went to Elitch Gardens Theme Park one day and then the Water park the next. And on Saturday we went to a Rockies game. It was really fun and everyone had a great time.
The girls were really good. Minus the car ride. Well Bella was perfect. She was so sweet and didn't complain once. Lyla on the other hand was hideous both days of driving but mostly on Sunday coming home. She pretty much cried and screamed the entire way! We won't be making a long road trip like that again for a long time.
Both girls loved the rides and loved to run and play outside all day. Bella loved the kiddie roller coaster! Lyla just loved any ride she was able to go on. This park was pretty small but had several super fun roller coasters! And a pretty nice little kiddie area. Grandma doesn't do roller coasters so she spent the day with the girls. Me, Eric and Grandpa would trade off time with Grandma and the girls so all us big people could go off and enjoy big coasters.
The water park was super fun also. I wish I would have taken more pictures there. It's hard when you are always wet though. It had a ton of fun slides, a sweet wave pool, a fun little kiddie area and a fun lazy river. We all had a great time there!
Saturday was the Rockies game. I'm not super into baseball but Eric grew up playing and he loves it. This was my 3rd time seeing a game at a Major League ball park. It's always fun to watch live in person. It's a fun atmosphere. It was like 93 degrees that day so it was super hot. Our seats were in the shade but still it was crazy hot. The girls only lasted 4 innings. So we left and went to the outdoor mall near our hotel until the boys were back from the game.
