Staycation

Last week we did our annual staycation. We had fun doing some things that we don't get to do often or that I can't do with the girls by myself while Eric is working. I didn't take many pictures. In fact I haven't taken many pictures at all lately. I don't know why. Just haven't been into it or blogging for that matter. But I need to write down our fun memories before I forget. So I'll just write about what we did and put up the pictures I did take.

Tuesday- I took Bella to see Brave. It was cute but had some dark spots. Bella asked a couple times if we could leave. And she never does that. But we stayed and it ended cute. Then we went and did a little shopping. It's nice to have one on one time with my big girl.

Wednesday- Eric went golfing all day with some buddies so I took the girls to City Creek. While there I decided to pierce Lyla's ears. Finally. She did so good. Just cried for a minute. I always think it's going to be worse than it is. But she looks so cute with her little earrings. We can't wait to put her real diamonds in.

Thursday- We went to Park City. We hit the outlets and didn't even buy anything. Amazing. Then we had some yummy lunch at a Mexican place, I can't remember the name but it was good. After we went to Park City Mountain Resort. We did the Alpine Slide and let the girls do the kiddie rides they had. When the girls are older it will be fun to do the other things they have, the flying eagle, zip line and the coaster. Eric and I had to take turns doing the Alpine slide because Lyla wasn't big enough to get on the lift so we each took Bella. It was fun but took forever. Each time was at least 45 minutes. So Lyla slept a little and ran around while waiting for Bella so they could do the kiddie rides together.

That's a long way down

Friday- We went swimming in the afternoon. Just went to the Rec Center. The pool is pretty fun and they have a slide that the girls just love. After we came home and had our Friday night movie and pizza night.

Saturday- Eric mowed the lawn and I got the house cleaned up. Then Eric and I got to have a date. The Greats came over to watch the girls. And we went to a movie and dinner then ran to Costco.  It was nice to get out for a few hours by ourselves. And the girls always have a great time with the Greats. They brought a picnic and took them to the park. Such fun great grandparents.

That pretty much sums up our week. Eric and I also watched Breaking Bad as often as we could. It's a t.v. series that we are trying to catch up on. It's so good! But it is a big people show for sure so we have to watch when the girls are in bed or entertained doing something else.
