This is the Place

Last week we went to the Zoo but ended up at This is the Place Heritage Park instead. We pulled into the Zoo parking lot and it was crazy. The line was forever long out the door and there were so many cars. We decided to bag it. A crazy crowded Zoo didn't sound fun at all with 5 kids in tow! So we went across the street to This is the place. I had never been there before and it was a pretty fun little place. There was lots for the kids to do, each little house had some kind of an activity or display. There is a petting zoo, horsey rides, panning for gold, train rides, amongst other things.  And the best part was it wasn't crowded!

She even rode a big horse. She has rode a pony before but not a "real" horse and she did so well.

She pet the baby sheep that were just laying there but didn't much care for the other sheep that were just roaming. And neither did I. I actually hate petting zoo's, I think they are disgusting and the little animals freak me out too.

We finished off our day by doing a little craft.

 It was a cute little place and very educational. Not sure if I care to go back. Kind of a been there done that kind of place. But it was fun to go with our friends!
