Memorial Weekend

We headed down to Emery on Saturday morning with Eric's family. Saturday was a beautiful day, it was a lot warmer than we thought it was going to be. We spent the day visiting with family and playing at the park. Saturday night was not so special. Lyla was up from 10 pm until 3 am, fussing and crying and just being miserable. Then Sunday came and it was so windy and miserable it made it hard to enjoy anything that day. Although some of us did get out and go on a long ride, we rode up on top of the mountain. It was pretty cool but pretty scary in some spots because it was so steep. I may have a had a minor melt down. But I got back on my 4-wheeler and rode to the top. Lucky for me it was Marcy's turn to ride the 4-wheeler on the way down. Not sure which is more scary going up or coming down. Just glad I was done. I got to ride with Eric. He is comfortable on a 4-wheeler in any situation. I do wish we would have brought our camera with us on that ride. It was pretty awesome and super high.  Anyway, after an early dinner we decided to pack up and head back home. We usually stay until Monday but not this trip. Eric started feeling really sick and I was dreading another night with Lyla in the Motor home. As I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa were too. So we pulled back in around 9 on Sunday night.

Bella hung out in the Motor home a lot...I think cause she kept sneaking cookies!
The girls playing...Bella was great at entertaining herself in the confined space. Lyla not so much.
Lyla did enjoy the big steering wheel!
Bella and daddy having a nap in the house that his Grandma grew up in...maybe even in her same room?!
Marcy was Bella's coloring partner all weekend. She was a good sport.
Bella and Uncle Austin riding around the yard.

On Monday we decided to get out in the crazy rain and go get some yummy food at the Pizza Factory.

enjoying some bread twist
Love these two!
And I love this little thing too!

We enjoyed our long weekend together!

Thanks Requel. Your advice was pretty much spot on with my Dr’s so I think I’m just going to have to toughen up and do it. My Dr. told me to wait until she was about 5 months old and she’s now 5 ½ so I guess now’s the time. She said it would be harder on me than it is on Lily and I’m SURE she’s right. When I put her down for naps I wait until she’s really tired and then just lay her down and she usually only cries for a few minutes so hopefully she won’t cry for too long when I try it at night. We’ll see :) Thanks again for the advice it’s so nice to be in contact with you again. Its been a looooooong time!
