PorkChop

I took this in November when she wasn't doing so hot. She's such a pretty girl!

My parents had to put our family dog, Porkchop, down yesterday. She was a black lab and almost 14 years old. She has been going down hill the past few months and we knew it would be soon. I guess she stopped eating and drinking the last couple of days. She would throw up all day and was just miserable. Sad.When they took her to the Vet yesterday she said she was in bad shape and shutting down. So it was time and the right decision. I know it was so hard and sad for everyone there. 

Pork was a good girl. She was so happy and sweet all the time. Also obnoxious like all dogs but she didn't have a mean bone in her body. Plus she had an awesome name! I named her! Ha ha. She had the prettiest coat, so shiny all the time. She would get so excited when anyone would come over. She always thought everyone was there for her. Everybody around new Porkchop! After I left home and would come home to visit she would always bust into my room at night and sleep by the side of my bed. Annoying at the time but cute to remember. And when I got married she would do the same thing. Bust in or scratch at the door until Eric let her in to lay on the floor by our bed.

My dad dug her a hole in the back yard by my moms bird house. I think it was a spot she liked to lay in. So the perfect place for her to be laid to rest. Everyone knows I'm not the biggest animal lover (I do like animals, baby ones the most, it's just their stink and hair I can't handle but they are cute and loyal and sweet)  but it's gonna be weird going home tomorrow and not having her there.
